CASHMERE CARE INSTRUCTION

Proper care and a gentle washing routine will help to extend the life of your cashmere garments and keep their quality for extended use. However, dry cleaning for all cashmere products is recommended for longer durability. GOBI produces 3 types of cashmere products.

Woven – (blankets, scarves, shawls, throws, etc.). Dry cleaning is strictly recommended.

Sewn – (coats, trench coats, blazers, and suits). Dry cleaning is strictly recommended.

Knitted – (sweaters, pants, scarves, hats, gloves, socks, etc.). Dry cleaning is recommended. But hand wash or machine wash is optional. ONLY DRY CLEANING is to be used for mixed woven and knitwear along with garments with print, multi-colors, and silk blends.

PILLING IS NATURAL

As we know no matter how good the quality of cashmere garments and how good the care you take, pilling is inevitable. It naturally occurs as a result of the fabric rubbing against another surface. To remove- Use a cashmere comb or pick them off by hand.

HAND WASH

Add cashmere shampoo in lukewarm water.

Soak the garment. To remove the shampoo, rinse in clean and the same temperature water.

Gently squeeze out the excess water, but do not wring the garment.

To dry, shape it to its original form and lay it flat. For quick drying, you may roll slowly the garment with a towel to avoid wrinkles. Gently press to remove water. Straighten it back to its original shape and lay it flat to dry. Do not tumble dry or hang dry.

Ironing (optional): Use a steam iron and adjust the temperature accordingly. Leave a 0.5-1cm (0.2-0.4in) gap between the iron and cashmere garment when ironing.

MACHINE WASH

CYCLE SETTINGS: Set your washing machine to the most delicate cycle that will help prevent any stretching or excess wear.

TEMPERATURE: Verify that the machine is set to use cold water both for the wash and rinse cycle. Approximately 20°C (70°F) is recommended.

DETERGENT/SHAMPOO: Use a detergent or shampoo made specifically for delicate fabrics.
